Bush announced in several national speeches in 2006 that the U.S. was addicted to oil and it was dependent on energy supply from unstable regions. Although there is a general consensus among American strategists on the dangers of this dependency; but they do not have similar recommendations in this regard. Accordingly, there are a lot of questions on the efficiency of the Bush energy policy. It seems that the Bush administration has recognized the energy challenges of the US but could not plan and fulfill a proper policy to cope with these challenges. This paper will analyze the different aspects of the Bush energy policy.
